Ko e mape
Dukinfield lies in Tameside, on the south bank of the River Tame, facing Ashton-under-Lyne across the water. Historically part of Cheshire, it grew fast during the cotton era, and the map still carries that industrial grain: rows of terraced streets, old mill sites and rail lines, with the Peak Forest Canal running south from its junction by the Tame.
At that junction the Peak Forest Canal meets the Ashton Canal, and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal joins the network close by in Ashton, which made this one of the busiest meeting points of the old canal system. On paper, these waterways appear as thin, deliberate lines beside the natural curve of the Tame, a small diagram of how the region was built.
A Dukinfield map poster brings out the density of the town's Victorian streets and the way they give way to more open ground on the slopes further out. It suits anyone with ties to Tameside, or anyone who likes maps where industry, water and housing are pressed closely together.
The Tame marks the town's northern edge. It separates Dukinfield from Ashton-under-Lyne and draws a clear curved line across the top of the map.
The Peak Forest Canal begins at a junction with the Ashton Canal by the Tame. Its straight, engineered course then runs south through the town.
Blocks of Victorian terraces form tight parallel rows. This texture fills much of the map and recalls the town's cotton-mill past.

Ko e ha Dukinfield
For families who have lived in Dukinfield for generations, or who left for somewhere else, the town's map carries a lot of memory: the canal towpath, the walk across the river to Ashton, the terraces where relatives lived. It is local history drawn in lines.
The title and subtitle are yours to write, a surname and a year for example, and the coordinates line can be adjusted too. Classic black & white suits the industrial grain, and Blueprint echoes the canal engineers' drawings. Choose HD files or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
