Durant is the seat of Bryan County in south-eastern Oklahoma, a short drive north of the Red River and the Texas line. It is the headquarters of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, and it is home to Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The town has long called itself the Magnolia Capital of Oklahoma.
