Eselsberg is a district of Ulm in Baden-Württemberg, on the hill north-west of the old city and the Danube. It is best known as the home of the University of Ulm, whose campus spreads over the top of the hill along with university hospital buildings and the research companies of the Science Park.
From above, Eselsberg has several distinct patterns. Large institutional buildings are arranged around courtyards and connecting roads. Residential neighbourhoods on the slopes have curving streets. Woodland covers part of the hill, and roads and tram lines climb it to link the district with the centre of Ulm below.
