Glan is a municipality in Sarangani province, on the island of Mindanao, located on the eastern shore of Sarangani Bay. From above the town centre sits close to the water, with streets running parallel to the coast and short roads reaching down to the shoreline, while the land behind rises into hills and farmland.
The long coastline is Glan's defining feature. The municipality is known for its beaches, especially the white sand of Gumasa, which draws visitors from nearby General Santos and beyond. On a map the shore appears as a gently curving edge, broken by small inlets and river mouths, with the open bay taking up much of the frame.
A Glan map poster balances land and water in a way few inland towns can. The coast road traces the bay, the town forms a compact grid near the shore, and the hills behind add a looser, rural texture. It is a fitting image for anyone who remembers the sea here or plans to return to it.
The eastern coast of the bay forms the main edge of the map, a long curving line between the town and the open water.
A road follows the shoreline through the municipality, linking the town centre with beaches and villages along the bay.
Behind the coast the ground rises into hills and farmland, crossed by fewer, winding roads that contrast with the denser centre.
