Ko e mape
Hajdúnánás is one of the hajdú towns of eastern Hungary, settlements granted to the hajdú soldiers by Prince István Bocskai in the early seventeenth century. It lies in the flat northern part of Hajdú-Bihar county. From above, its historic centre shows the rounded, inward-facing shape common to these towns, which were once ringed by defensive ditches and palisades.
Streets radiate from the centre across the plain, and roads leave the town in several directions toward neighbouring settlements and farmsteads. Beyond the built area lies open farmland crossed by drainage channels and field tracks. The town also has a thermal bath, a reminder that this part of the plain sits above warm underground water.
A Hajdúnánás map poster makes the historic plan easy to read. The rounded core, the roads running outward and the open fields around them form a clear, almost diagrammatic image. It is a good choice for Hungarians with family ties to the Hajdúság region, and for anyone interested in how old defensive layouts still shape towns today.
The old centre keeps a compact, roughly circular layout typical of the fortified hajdú towns, and it is clearly visible at the heart of the poster.
Main roads leave the centre in several directions across the plain, dividing the town into wedges and linking it to the surrounding villages.
Flat farmland stretches to every edge of the map, lined with field tracks and channels, which gives the town a clear outline against empty ground.
