Jalesar is a town in Etah district in western Uttar Pradesh, on the flat, fertile land between the Ganges and the Yamuna. On a map it appears as a dense, irregular old core with narrow lanes, surrounded by fields and village roads that fan out across the plain in every direction.
The town has a long-standing reputation for metal craft, particularly the casting of brass bells and small ghungroo bells used in temples and dance. Many workshops still operate in the older quarters, and the craft gives Jalesar a recognisable name far beyond its size, with its bells found in homes and temples across the country.
Because Jalesar grew gradually rather than to a plan, the map rewards close looking: lanes bend, divide and meet in small open spaces, while straighter roads leave the centre toward neighbouring towns. A Jalesar map poster holds that organic pattern in a clean, modern format, a good fit for anyone who carries the town with them.
The centre is a tight mesh of narrow, irregular streets, a pattern typical of old market towns on the plain and the most detailed part of the map.
Main roads lead out from the centre toward surrounding towns and villages, giving the map a clear star-like structure set within open fields.
Flat, cultivated land fills the space around the town, dotted with ponds and small settlements that add a light texture to the edges.
