Jhūsi Map Poster & Print

Jhusi lies on the eastern bank of the Ganges, directly across from Prayagraj and close to the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges and Yamuna. The river dominates the map: a broad, braided channel with sandbanks that change with the seasons, and the town set on higher ground above it.

Jhusi is identified with Pratishthanpur, an ancient city named in Hindu tradition, and archaeological mounds here point to a very long history of settlement. Ashrams and temples line the riverbank. A Jhusi map poster shows the dense lanes of the town beside the wide, open riverbed.

During the Kumbh and Magh Mela, the floodplain below Jhusi fills with temporary camps, pontoon bridges and pilgrims. The permanent map shows the calmer everyday form: river, bank, town and the roads and bridges linking it to Prayagraj.

01

Ganges riverbed

The wide, sandy bed of the Ganges runs alongside the town. Its broad shape and shifting channels form the largest single element on the poster.

02

Riverside ashrams

Temples and ashrams stand along the high bank above the river, where the town's lanes come down toward the water.

03

Bridges to Prayagraj

Road and rail links cross the river to connect Jhusi with Prayagraj, drawing strong lines over the open water.

Jhusi is a place of pilgrimage, family history and memories of the Mela. A map of the town beside the Ganges is a respectful way to keep that connection present at home.

You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, such as the year of a Kumbh visit or a family name. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
