Kāranja, often called Karanja Lad, is a town in Washim district in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It sits on the Deccan plateau, where the land is broad and gently rolling. The map shows a dense old centre of irregular lanes, surrounded by newer residential areas and wide stretches of farmland.
The town is known as the birthplace of Shri Narasimha Saraswati, a revered figure in the Dattatreya tradition, and it draws pilgrims throughout the year. It also has long-established Jain temples. On the map these religious and historic quarters sit within the tight weave of the older streets, which contrast clearly with the straighter roads of later growth.
A Kāranja map poster reflects the rhythm of a market town in farming country. Roads leave the centre toward neighbouring towns like spokes, field boundaries create a soft pattern at the edges, and small water tanks appear as dark accents. The result is a warm, balanced print with a clear focal point and plenty of open space.
The historic core is a close-knit mesh of narrow, winding streets. It is the densest part of the map and the setting of the town's temples and markets.
Main roads extend outward like spokes toward neighbouring towns, which gives the composition a gentle star shape centred on the old town.
Open fields stretch across the plateau around Kāranja. Their boundaries form a light, even texture that frames the town and reflects the agricultural character of Vidarbha.
