Khlong Luang lies in Pathum Thani province, on the flat plain north of Bangkok. The land was opened up in the late nineteenth century by the Rangsit canal project, which dug a large network of straight irrigation channels across the rice fields. That network still defines the map today: parallel canals, evenly spaced, cutting the land into long, regular strips.
The district has since become a centre for education and research. Thammasat University's Rangsit campus, the Asian Institute of Technology and Thailand Science Park are all here. Their grounds appear on the map as large open areas, with ponds, green space and curving internal roads that contrast with the rigid lines of the canals.
A Khlong Luang map poster brings these two layers together. One is the engineered grid of water. The other is the landscaped campuses and industrial estates that have grown over it. Housing estates and highways fill the gaps, but the canals still give the district its orderly look.

Thammasat's Rangsit campus and the Asian Institute of Technology occupy large grounds with ponds and green space, set among the canal grid.
Thailand Science Park and nearby industrial estates add big, blocky shapes. They mark the district's shift from rice fields to research.

Thousands of students have spent years in Khlong Luang, and a map of the campus and canals is a natural graduation or alumni gift. The title can name the university, and the subtitle a graduation year.
The canal grid looks superb in Blueprint and crisp in Classic black and white. Noir, Paper and Sand are the other styles. The $9 download includes all six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG files and print-ready PDFs.
