Khoni Map Poster & Print

Khoni lies in Maharashtra's Thane district, in the area between Kalyan and Bhiwandi on the northeastern edge of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. It is a place in transition, and from above it shows a mix of older village lanes, new housing and open land still waiting to be built on.

The layout is uneven. Older sections have short, winding lanes, while new developments appear as regular groups of buildings with straight internal roads. Between them are fields and vacant plots, some of which may be built on by the next time the map is updated.

Water and low ground cross the area, and the wider region has creeks and rivers draining toward the coast. A Khoni map poster captures a moment in the growth of India's largest urban region, showing a settlement that is still taking shape on the edge of the city.

01

Village lanes

The older core keeps a pattern of short, irregular lanes and closely built houses, a remnant of the village before the city arrived.

02

New developments

Recent housing appears as orderly blocks with straight access roads, set among open plots and clearly different from the older lanes.

03

Open plots

Fields and vacant land still separate the built areas, leaving gaps in the map that show how quickly the area is changing.
