Ko e mape
Kihihi lies in Kanungu District in the southwest of Uganda, in a landscape that runs from the hills around Bwindi Impenetrable Forest down toward the lower plains of the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The town is a local trading centre, and on a map its streets gather along the main road, with a small grid of blocks spreading out on either side.
Beyond the centre, farmland stretches in every direction, much of it cultivated in small plots and crossed by tracks leading to villages. The town also has an airstrip used by visitors heading to the parks, and its long straight runway is one of the most distinct shapes on the map. Streams running down from the hills add a few soft curves to the surrounding pattern.
Many travellers pass through Kihihi on the way to track gorillas in Bwindi or to look for the tree-climbing lions of Ishasha, but for its residents it is simply home. A Kihihi map poster captures both roles: the working town with its roads and blocks, and the gateway to two of Uganda's best-known protected areas.
The town's commercial streets line the main road, with a compact grid of blocks behind them forming the densest and most detailed part of the map.
Kihihi's airstrip draws a long, straight line at the edge of town, a clean graphic element that contrasts with the organic pattern of surrounding tracks and fields.
Cultivated land surrounds the town, with rural paths leading toward the hills around Bwindi and down to the plains near Ishasha.

Ko e ha Kihihi
Kihihi is remembered by visitors as the start of a safari or a gorilla trek, and valued by those who grew up there. A map poster of the town works equally well as a travel keepsake or as a portrait of home.
