Koro is a town in the Mopti Region of central Mali, near the border with Burkina Faso. It lies on the Seno plain, the broad, flat country below the Bandiagara escarpment, an area closely associated with Dogon communities. The town serves as a centre for surrounding villages that grow millet and other dryland crops.
