From above, Korschenbroich looks less like one centre than a group of settlements held together by fields. The main town, Kleinenbroich, Glehn, Liedberg and smaller villages each show their own compact cluster of streets, with farmland, hedgerows and lines of trees in between. The ground is flat, typical of the Lower Rhine plain, so roads and field boundaries make up most of the pattern.
The town sits in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, squeezed between two larger neighbours: Mönchengladbach to the west and Neuss and Düsseldorf further east. Motorways and railway lines run along its edges, and on a map these straight lines contrast with the looser, older street layouts of the village cores. Small streams and drainage channels cross the fields in thin, winding strokes.
Two historic sites stand out. Schloss Myllendonk is a moated castle whose grounds now hold a golf course, and Liedberg sits on a small rise topped by its own castle, which is unusual in such level country. A Korschenbroich map poster brings these separate places together on one sheet, so the gaps between the villages matter as much as the villages.
The water-ringed outline of Schloss Myllendonk and the curving fairways of the golf course around it make one of the most distinctive shapes on the town's map.
Liedberg's castle stands on a modest hill above the plain, and the village streets bend around it, unlike the straighter roads in the surrounding fields.
Several separate district centres sit among farmland, so the map reads as a set of small street clusters joined by country lanes, not one continuous town.
