Kudrovo is a town in Vsevolozhsky District of Leningrad Oblast, immediately east of St Petersburg, just beyond the city's Ring Road. Only a few years ago it was mostly open land. Since the 2010s it has been built up at remarkable speed and became a town in its own right in 2018.
From above, Kudrovo is clearly a new place. Large residential blocks with courtyards are arranged along wide, straight streets, with schools, shops and parks placed within the grid. The Ring Road and other highways form sharp edges, and the flat terrain gives the development a very regular look.
