Lębork lies in northern Poland, in Pomerania, on the Łeba River and its tributaries. The town was founded in the fourteenth century under the Teutonic Order, and parts of its old defensive walls and towers survive. It has been part of different states over the centuries and has been Polish since 1945. Today it is a regional centre for the area between Gdańsk and Słupsk.
