Loni is in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, directly on the northeastern border of Delhi. It is part of the National Capital Region and has grown rapidly as the metropolitan area has pushed outward. From above, the town is a dense mix of older village cores and newer residential colonies that have filled in the surrounding farmland.
Much of this growth has happened without a single overall plan, so the street pattern changes from block to block. Some areas have narrow, winding lanes, others have more regular grids, and main roads cut through toward Delhi and toward Ghaziabad and Baghpat. The low, flat land of the Yamuna floodplain lies to the west.
A Loni map poster shows a place in the middle of change, where the edge of one of the world's largest cities meets the farmland of western Uttar Pradesh. The border with Delhi is not a physical line, but the difference in street patterns on either side is often visible. It is an honest, detailed portrait of an ordinary, growing town.
Loni runs directly into the northeastern districts of Delhi. The shift from one street pattern to another along the border is one of the notable features of the map.
Old village lanes, irregular colonies and newer planned blocks sit side by side, giving the poster a varied, patchwork texture rather than a single grid.
West of the town, the flat floodplain of the Yamuna opens up. On the map it forms a quieter area with fewer streets and wide, open spaces.

Ko e ha Loni
For families who have built a home in Loni in recent years, a map records the neighbourhood as it looks now, before it changes again. It makes a good housewarming gift or a first piece of art for a new house.
Put the name of your colony or street in the title, add a date to the subtitle, and set the coordinates. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Classic black & white keeps the busy streets readable.
