Magarao is a municipality in Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region of the Philippines, just north of Naga City. It lies on the fertile lowlands of the Bicol plain, where rice fields, rivers and creeks shape the land. From above, the town centre is a small cluster of streets, with barangays strung along roads that run out into the fields.
Water is everywhere in this landscape. Rivers and irrigation channels wind through the paddies and form curving lines that contrast with the straighter roads. To the east, the ground begins to rise toward Mount Isarog, the dormant volcano that dominates the skyline of the Naga area. On a wider map its slopes form a broad backdrop of contour and forest.
A Magarao map poster is a way for Bicolanos, including the many working in Manila or abroad, to keep a picture of home. It combines a modest town plan with the natural geometry of rivers and fields, and it shows the town's closeness to Naga and the mountain that frames the region.
Curving waterways cross the lowlands around the town. They give the map an organic rhythm that contrasts with the roads and field boundaries.
Paddies surround the built-up area and fill much of the frame with small, irregular plots, the agricultural base of this part of Bicol.
East of the town the land rises toward Mount Isarog. It gives wider views of the area a mountainous edge beyond the flat fields.

Filipino families stay deeply connected to their home towns, even across oceans. A Magarao map poster is a meaningful gift for a parent, a partner or yourself, showing the streets, rivers and fields that come to mind when someone says home.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a barangay name, a family name or a special date, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
