Ko e mape
Mandaguari belongs to the chain of towns founded in northern Paraná during the land-colonisation push of the mid-twentieth century, when forest was cleared for coffee. Like its neighbours, it was planned rather than grown, and the map shows it: a regular grid of blocks set along high ground, with wide avenues and a clear central axis running through the middle.
The town sits between Maringá and Apucarana, on the main road corridor crossing the region. Around it the landscape opens into large rectangular farm plots, today often soy, corn and sugarcane as much as coffee, divided by rural roads and by the thin lines of streams that drain toward the valleys on either side.
A Mandaguari map poster captures a very specific idea of a Brazilian frontier town: orderly, deliberate, and set in open country. The contrast between the dense blocks in the centre and the long, looser roads outside works well at any print size, and the grid keeps the composition balanced from edge to edge.
The central streets follow a planned rectangular layout on higher ground, giving the town a clean, measured pattern typical of northern Paraná's colonisation towns.
A major road passes the town on its way between Maringá and Apucarana, forming a strong line that ties Mandaguari into the region's network of cities.
Small watercourses cut through the surrounding farmland, their wooded strips appearing as winding lines that break the otherwise straight field boundaries.

Families from northern Paraná often keep a close bond with the towns their parents or grandparents helped build. This map is a way to put that place on the wall with the same clarity the original planners gave it.
Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates. Blueprint suits a planned town especially well. The digital files cost $9 and include 300 DPI PNGs and print-ready PDFs.
