Ko e mape
Markham lies northeast of Toronto in York Region, and its map is built on the survey grid that divided southern Ontario into concessions and lots. Major roads run in straight lines at regular intervals, forming large squares that were once farmland. Within those squares, suburban streets curve into crescents and cul-de-sacs, a pattern typical of postwar growth across the region.
The Rouge River and its tributaries cut through this orderly frame, their green valleys winding across the grid, and part of Rouge National Urban Park lies on the city's eastern side. Highways 404 and 407 cross Markham, which has become a centre for technology companies. The main street of Unionville preserves the scale of a nineteenth-century village.
A Markham map poster shows the tension between straight survey lines and the natural curves of the river valleys. Printed large, the concession roads create a strong framework while the winding residential streets and green corridors fill it with detail. It is a fitting map for families who have made their home in one of Canada's most diverse cities.
Arterial roads follow the historic survey lines at regular intervals, dividing the city into large squares that give the map its clear underlying structure.
The Rouge and its tributaries wind across the grid in green, irregular corridors, softening the geometry and leading toward the national urban park in the east.
The historic village core keeps a short, compact main street and small lots, a finer grain that stands out against the surrounding subdivisions.

Ko e ha Markham
Markham is where many families settled after arriving in Canada, or where they bought their first house. A map poster of its streets marks that milestone with understated clarity and fits easily into a modern home.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a street name and a moving-in date, then choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD files include 18×24″ and 24×36″ sizes, and printed posters come with an optional wooden frame.
