Massinga is in Inhambane Province in southern Mozambique, on the national highway that runs up the country's coast. The road is the backbone of its map. The town centre gathers along it, and from there local streets and sandy tracks reach out into the surrounding settlement. Market areas and public buildings cluster near the highway, while houses and small fields spread out loosely beyond.
The land here is low and sandy, and the Indian Ocean coast lies a short distance to the east. Between the town and the sea the map shows a patchwork of farmland, coconut palms and small lakes and wetlands scattered across the coastal plain. Paths link the homesteads in a web that is informal but still readable from above.
A Massinga map poster shows a district town shaped by a single long road and by the coast nearby. Unlike the grid of a planned city, the pattern here is loose and organic. It records how people have settled along the route and across the land around it over generations.
Mozambique's main north–south road runs straight through Massinga, forming the strongest line on the map with the town gathered along both sides.
The coast lies a short way east. Between town and shore, low sandy plains with farmland and wetlands fill the frame.
Fine tracks connect scattered houses and fields around the centre, creating a loose, hand-drawn texture in the monochrome style.

Ko e ha Massinga
The poster is a lasting reminder of Massinga for people born here, for families now living elsewhere, and for travellers who stopped in the town on the long road up the coast. It makes a thoughtful gift that says where someone comes from.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name, date or place of origin, and edit the coordinates line if you like. Choose one of five styles, and download files for your own printing or order a printed poster shipped by a local partner.
