Morādābād lies in western Uttar Pradesh on the banks of the Ramganga River. From above, the older part of the city forms a dense tangle of narrow lanes near the river, while newer districts spread outward in broader blocks, crossed by railway lines and main roads connecting the city with Delhi and the rest of the state.
The city was founded in the seventeenth century and named after the Mughal prince Murad Bakhsh. It is known across India and beyond as Peetal Nagri, the brass city, for the metalwork produced in its workshops and exported worldwide. The Jama Masjid near the river is one of its older landmarks.
A Morādābād map poster captures the contrast between the compact old town and the wider, more open newer areas. The Ramganga gives the composition a curving edge, and the railway lines frame the city from other sides.
The river curves along the edge of the old city, giving the map a strong natural line and marking where the earliest settlement grew.
Near the river, narrow and irregular lanes form a dense texture, where many of the brass workshops and markets have long been located.
Rail lines converge on the city from several directions, drawing straight lines across the map and marking Moradabad's role as a regional hub.

Ko e ha Morādābād
Morādābād is a city of makers, and many who grew up here carry its craft traditions elsewhere. The map is a fitting reminder of those workshop streets and the river beside them.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, with Sand giving a warm, brass-like tone.
