Mount Davis is a hill and residential area at the western end of Hong Kong Island, in the Central and Western District. It rises steeply above Kennedy Town, and from above its map is a contrast of dense streets at the foot of the hill, a green, wooded summit, and the harbour waters wrapping around the headland.
The hill is named after Sir John Francis Davis, one of the early governors of Hong Kong. Its summit holds the remains of military batteries built to guard the western approaches to the harbour, and the upper slopes are now part of a country park area.
