Mucur is a town in Kırşehir Province, on the high plateau of Central Anatolia. From above, it is compact and clearly bounded, surrounded by wide, largely treeless farmland. The centre has a denser tangle of older streets, while newer districts follow straighter lines, and a few main roads lead out across the steppe towards Kırşehir and Cappadocia.
