Fine residential grain
Tightly packed plots and narrow lanes create a detailed, almost textile-like surface on the map. It shows most clearly at a closer crop, where individual paths become visible.

Mulenvos lies in Luanda province, east of the Angolan capital's historic centre and away from the Atlantic shore. It belongs to the wide ring of districts that have grown around Luanda over recent decades as people moved to the city from across the country. From above it reads as a mostly residential area where small plots crowd closely together.
The street pattern differs from the planned grids of older central Luanda. Main roads carry traffic in and out of the city, while between them a finer web of lanes and paths winds between houses, often following property lines rather than a single plan. The result is a map with a dense, textured grain that looks almost woven in black and white.
Areas like Mulenvos continue to change quickly, with new building filling open ground and roads being extended. A Mulenvos map poster records the district as it stands today, at a scale where the difference between busy main roads and the quiet lanes between them can be read clearly.
Tightly packed plots and narrow lanes create a detailed, almost textile-like surface on the map. It shows most clearly at a closer crop, where individual paths become visible.
A few larger roads connect the district with central Luanda and neighbouring areas. On the poster they cut through the fine texture as the strongest and straightest lines.
At the edges of the district, built-up areas give way to open ground that is still being developed. These looser zones give the composition breathing space around the dense core.
