Norala is a municipality in South Cotabato, in the Soccsksargen region of southern Mindanao. It lies on the level floor of an agricultural valley. From above, the town centre is a modest grid of streets, and the land around it breaks into rice paddies, irrigation channels and scattered barangay settlements.
Like much of this part of Mindanao, Norala is mainly agricultural, with rice and other crops shaping both the local economy and the landscape. Provincial roads link it with neighbouring municipalities and with the larger towns of the valley.
