Ko e mape
Paita lies on the coast of northern Peru, in the Piura region, where a curving bay offers one of the more protected anchorages along an otherwise exposed shore. The town begins at the waterfront and rises in steps onto the tablazo, the flat, dry plateau above the sea, so from above its streets fan outward from the harbour toward the desert.
It is one of Peru's oldest ports, used since the early Spanish colonial period and still an important outlet for goods from Piura and the wider north. Paita is also known as the place where Manuela Sáenz, companion of Simón Bolívar, spent her final years and died in 1856; her house is remembered in the old part of town.
A Paita map poster shows how completely the town is shaped by its bay. The shoreline sweeps across the frame, the dense older streets cluster around the port, and newer districts spread across the plateau in looser grids. The empty desert and open Pacific on either side keep the composition clean and spare.

The historic core sits close to the waterfront, where the harbour works and tight older streets create the densest part of the map before the land begins to rise.
Above the old town, a flat desert plateau carries newer neighbourhoods laid out in broader grids, their edges fading quickly into the dry, open country beyond.

Ko e ha Paita
Paita appeals to anyone with ties to Peru's north coast, to sailors and port workers, and to readers drawn to the story of Manuela Sáenz. Its bay and plateau make a composition that is both clear and quietly dramatic.
You can personalise the title and subtitle with a name, a year or a short phrase, adjust the coordinates, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint emphasises the harbour's crisp maritime lines.
