Ko e mape
Perunkalattu, more commonly written Perungalathur, lies on the southern edge of Chennai, just beyond Tambaram. It grew rapidly as the city spread along the Grand Southern Trunk Road, and on a map that highway is the defining feature, running south-west through the suburb together with the suburban railway line to Chengalpattu.
Either side of these twin corridors, residential layouts fill the land in dense patterns of short streets and plots. A lake lies within the suburb, a clear open shape among the houses, and to the south-west the land becomes greener around the Vandalur area, home to Chennai's large zoological park and its wooded reserve.
A Perunkalattu map poster captures the character of this fast-growing part of the metropolitan area: straight transport lines carrying people into the city, compact neighbourhoods built in successive phases, and water bodies and green areas that still interrupt the spread. The combination makes a structured, graphic composition in black and white.
The Grand Southern Trunk Road and the parallel suburban railway run through the area side by side, forming a strong diagonal across the map.
A lake within the suburb creates a clear open shape among the dense residential streets, one of the most recognisable features from above.
To the south-west, the built area gives way to wooded land around Vandalur, adding a softer, open margin to the composition.

Ko e ha Perunkalattu
Perunkalattu is where many families have bought their first flat or built their first home as Chennai expanded. A map of the neighbourhood marks that moment and makes a meaningful housewarming gift.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps adding a flat number or moving date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
