Rockland is a town in Plymouth County on the South Shore of Massachusetts. From above it looks like a classic New England town: a main road through a modest centre, with residential streets branching off in irregular loops and cul-de-sacs, and patches of woodland and water in between. There is no strict grid; the streets follow old routes and the lie of the land.
