Samālka is an urban village in southwest Delhi, close to Indira Gandhi International Airport. Like many of Delhi's urbanised villages, its map shows a sharp contrast: a very dense core of narrow, irregular lanes surrounded by wide planned roads, highways and large blocks of institutional and airport land.
