Sukagawa lies in the Nakadōri valley of Fukushima Prefecture, between Kōriyama to the north and Shirakawa to the south. Its centre grew as a stop on the old Ōshū Kaidō road, and on a map the historic core still reads as a tight cluster of streets along a north–south axis, surrounded by newer residential blocks and then by an open field pattern.
The Abukuma River runs close to the centre, drawing a loose, looping line across the lower part of the valley, while smaller streams and irrigation channels thread between the paddy fields. To the west the land rises toward the mountains, and the street network thins out into scattered hamlets linked by narrow roads that follow the folds of the terrain.
The city is known as the hometown of Eiji Tsuburaya, the special-effects director behind Ultraman, and figures from his films now appear around town. It also keeps a large peony garden and hosts Taimatsu Akashi, an autumn fire festival held on a hill at the edge of town. A Sukagawa map poster captures the setting behind all of this.
The Abukuma River loops through the valley close to the town centre, a broad, soft line that sets off the tighter pattern of streets beside it.
The oldest streets follow the route of the Ōshū Kaidō, the Edo-period road leading north, giving the centre a noticeably linear, north–south grain.
Beyond the built-up area, rectangular rice fields and irrigation channels form a fine geometric patchwork that fills the outer map with even, quiet texture.

Ko e ha Sukagawa
For anyone who grew up in Sukagawa, or who first came for the peonies or the fire festival, the map holds a recognisable layout in a single frame: the old road, the river, and the fields reaching out toward the hills.
Add a personal title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. The design comes in five styles, from Classic black & white and Noir to Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as instant HD files or as a printed poster.
