Ta Khmau sits just south of Phnom Penh, close enough that the two street networks almost meet on a map. As capital of Kandal Province, it has the administrative centre of a province wrapped around Cambodia's capital. From above, the town reads as a long band pressed against the Bassac River, with streets running inland from the water towards open land.
The river sets the main line of the composition. One edge follows the curve of the Bassac. On the landward side, a looser pattern of lanes, compounds and market streets fades into paddies and villages. A major road heading south out of the capital runs through the town, and it gives the grid a spine you can pick out at any scale.
A Ta Khmau map poster shows a place defined by where it sits: between a large city and the countryside, beside a river that has always organised life here. In black and white, the contrast between the dense riverside strip and the thinning fields behind it is easy to read. The result is quiet and clearly Cambodian without relying on a single landmark.
The Bassac River runs along one side of town, and its broad channel forms the strongest line on the map, with streets meeting it at irregular angles.
The main road south from Phnom Penh passes straight through Ta Khmau, a long axis that ties the town's blocks together and points back towards the capital.
Away from the river the street pattern loosens into scattered lanes and open ground, a gradual fade from town to farmland that gives the print soft edges.

Ko e ha Ta Khmau
People who grew up in Kandal, or who commute between the province and Phnom Penh, often want a reminder of this particular stretch of river. The map shows the town as a place in its own right, not just a suburb of the capital.
You can add a title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and a coordinates line. Then pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9, and printed posters with an optional wooden frame are also available.
