Tālīkota is a town in the Vijayapura district of northern Karnataka, on the broad, open Deccan plateau. The surrounding country is flat and largely agricultural, and from above the town appears as a dense core of narrow lanes with newer streets spreading outward along the main roads. Fields stretch to the horizon in every direction, giving the built-up area a clear, compact outline.
The older centre has the tight, irregular lanes common to Deccan market towns, where streets bend around old plots rather than following a grid. Main roads leave the centre toward neighbouring towns, and development gathers along them in long arms. In monochrome the composition is a dark, dense heart with a few strong radiating lines.
The name is known across India because of the Battle of Talikota in 1565, in which an alliance of Deccan sultanates defeated the Vijayanagara Empire. A Tālīkota map poster links that name to the working town of today, with its dense lanes, roads and the plains around it.
Narrow, irregular lanes pack tightly into the core, creating the darkest area of the print and showing the town's long history as a market centre.
Main routes leave the centre in several directions, with new building strung along them, giving the town a star-like outline.
Level farmland surrounds the town on all sides, so the urban form stands alone against wide empty space on the poster.

Ko e ha Tālīkota
For people from Tālīkota, and for history readers drawn to the 1565 battle, this map puts the actual town on the wall. Its dense centre and radiating roads give it a clear, graphic character.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the name in Kannada script alongside, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
