Teknāf lies at the southern end of the long peninsula that runs down from Cox's Bazar, near the southernmost point of mainland Bangladesh. The town sits on the bank of the Naf River, which forms the border with Myanmar. On the map the land narrows to a thin strip, with the estuary on one side, the Bay of Bengal on the other and a spine of hills between.
The Marine Drive runs along the sea coast from Cox's Bazar toward Teknāf and draws a long line beside one of the world's longest natural beaches. Inland, the hills of the Teknāf Wildlife Sanctuary rise between the two shores. The town is also the usual departure point for boats to St. Martin's Island, the country's only coral island.
A Teknāf map poster is shaped almost entirely by water. The Naf estuary and the open sea press in from both sides, the town gathers by the river and the roads follow the narrow land southward. In black and white the peninsula becomes a striking, tapering form, one of the most distinctive outlines in Bangladesh.

A coastal road follows the Bay of Bengal shoreline down the peninsula. It traces a long clean line beside the beach toward the southern tip.
Forested hills, protected within the Teknāf Wildlife Sanctuary, run between the river and the sea. They leave a band of open ground through the middle of the peninsula.

Ko e ha Teknāf
Teknāf is the end of the road in Bangladesh and the gateway to St. Martin's Island, so it holds a place in many travel memories. For people from the area it is simply home. Either way, its tapering outline makes a strong, graphic poster.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps the date of a trip to the southern tip, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files cost $9 in six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF, ready for any local print shop.
