Tijāra Map Poster & Print

Tijāra lies in northeastern Rajasthan, near the Haryana border, where the Aravalli hills rise out of the plain. The map shows an old town of narrow, irregular lanes at the base of the hills, with roads that bend around rocky ground and farmland spreading out across the flatter land.

The town is known for its large Jain temple dedicated to Chandraprabhu, which attracts pilgrims from across the region. On the hillside above the town, the Tijara Fort-Palace, a nineteenth-century structure left unfinished for many years, was later restored and reopened as a heritage hotel.

A Tijāra map poster shows the town's close lanes, the hills behind and the fields beyond, all in one frame. In monochrome, the dense old town and the roughness of the hills create a strong contrast, a composition typical of the Aravalli towns of Rajasthan.
