Tiruvallur is the headquarters of the district of the same name in Tamil Nadu, lying west of Chennai on the suburban railway toward Arakkonam. The rail line cuts a firm diagonal through the town, and the streets grow outward from it in a mix of older lanes and newer residential blocks that thin into farmland at the edges.
The town is best known for the Veeraraghava Swamy Temple, a Vaishnavite shrine visited by pilgrims seeking healing. Its large temple tank shows clearly on a map as a clean rectangle of water among dense streets. Around it the older quarter keeps a tighter weave, with lanes running close together toward the temple precinct.
A Tiruvallur map poster captures that layered arrangement: the sacred core, the straight line of the railway and the looser suburban growth reaching out toward Chennai. In monochrome the tank and the temple streets form a strong centre, while the surrounding fields and water bodies give the outer edges a softer, open texture.
The tank beside the Veeraraghava Swamy Temple appears as a crisp rectangle of water, one of the clearest geometric shapes in the town and its traditional centre.
The Chennai–Arakkonam line runs straight through Tiruvallur, a firm stroke across the map that has tied the town to the metropolitan area for generations.
Newer residential streets spread past the old core in loose blocks, then give way to fields and scattered water bodies typical of the plains west of Chennai.

A map of Tiruvallur speaks to pilgrims, commuters and families with roots in the district. The temple tank and the railway give the poster a clear structure, and the image recalls a town that has kept its religious centre while growing alongside Chennai.
