Tūndla sits in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh, roughly 25 kilometres east of Agra, on the level plain between the Yamuna and the Ganges. It owes much of its existence to the railway: Tūndla Junction is where the main Delhi–Howrah line meets the branch to Agra, and the town grew up around the station and its yards.
That origin is clear on the map. Long, parallel tracks and sidings form the strongest lines in the composition, with the railway colony laid out in regular blocks close by and the older bazaar streets forming a denser, less ordered cluster. Highways toward Agra and Firozabad cut across the plain, and fields fill the space in between.
