Yebaishou is the seat of Jianping County in Chaoyang, in the western part of Liaoning province. This corner of northeastern China is hilly and relatively dry, with low mountains and uplands close to the border with Inner Mongolia. The town sits on lower valley ground, where there is enough flat land for streets and fields.
