Aguaí Map Poster & Print
Aguaí is a town in the interior of São Paulo state, in rolling agricultural country north of Campinas. Its centre follows a regular grid of square blocks, a pattern shared by many interior towns founded around the railway and coffee era. From above, the grid ends fairly abruptly, and farmland takes over.
The surrounding landscape is dominated by large-scale agriculture, especially sugarcane. On the map, that shows up as wide, cleanly divided fields and long service roads running in straight or gently curving lines. Streams and strips of riverside vegetation wind between the fields and add a few organic shapes to an otherwise geometric landscape.
An Aguaí map poster is about order and edge. The town's tidy blocks sit like a stamp in the middle of the countryside, and roads leave it toward neighbouring towns. Rendered in black and white, this becomes a composition of clear lines and generous space, suitable for anyone who calls this corner of São Paulo home.
