Dispersed settlement
Houses are spread across the landscape instead of gathered in one centre, so the poster shows a fine scattering of lanes and plots across the whole frame.

Āyanchēri Map Poster & Print
Āyanchēri lies in the Kozhikode district of northern Kerala, inland from the Malabar coast. Like much of rural Kerala, it has no single dense town centre. From above, the settlement appears as a spread of houses set among coconut palms and home gardens, connected by lanes that wind along the higher ground.
The land is gently rolling, with low laterite hills and valleys where paddy fields and streams collect in the lower ground. Roads tend to follow the ridges, while the valley floors remain open, so on a map the built-up areas and open land form interlocking bands rather than a clear town-and-country divide.
An Āyanchēri map poster shows this distinctly Keralan pattern of settlement: continuous, dispersed and closely shaped by water and slope. Printed in a minimalist style, the network of lanes looks almost like branching veins, and the open spaces between them hint at the fields and waterways that define daily life in the area.

Ridge-top lanes
Many local roads follow the higher ground, curving and branching as they go, which gives the map an organic, tree-like line pattern.
Valley paddies
Lower ground between the hills holds paddy fields and streams, leaving open strips on the map that separate one cluster of houses from the next.
