Baia Sprie Map Poster & Print
Baia Sprie is a town in Maramureș county in northern Romania, just east of Baia Mare. It lies where the plain meets the foothills of the Gutâi Mountains, and from above the streets follow the valley floor before climbing into forested slopes. The main road runs through the centre, with residential streets branching up the hillsides.
Mining has shaped the town for centuries. The mountains here hold deposits of gold, silver, lead and zinc, and Baia Sprie became known among mineral collectors for the specimens found in its mines. On a map, traces of that industry appear as irregular areas and tracks on the edge of the town, where the settlement gives way to wooded mountain country.
A Baia Sprie map poster captures a place set between valley and forest. The contour of the land is visible in the way the streets bend and stop, and the green mass of the mountains to the north frames everything. It is a print for people with roots in Maramureș, or with a link to the region's long mining tradition.

Gutâi foothills
To the north, the land rises into the forested Gutâi Mountains. Streets thin out as they climb, and the hillsides frame the upper part of the poster.
Mining landscape
Old mine sites and industrial areas sit on the edges of the town. On the map they appear as irregular shapes that reflect centuries of extraction.

Waarom Baia Sprie
Een kaart met betekenis
For families from Maramureș, and especially those whose parents or grandparents worked in the mines, Baia Sprie carries deep personal meaning. A map of the town preserves that link in a restrained, modern form that suits any home.
