Báishí Zhèn Map Poster & Print
Báishí Zhèn is a town in the rural hill country of Chongqing, a region of steep ridges, narrow valleys and terraced slopes. On a map, the town appears as a small, dense cluster in the lower ground. Its main streets follow the valley, and smaller lanes climb away up the hillsides. Around it, the landscape is crossed by thin rural roads looping between villages and farms.
Places like this rarely appear in guidebooks, but their layout tells a clear story. Buildings concentrate where the land is flattest, water courses cut through the valleys, and roads bend patiently around ridges rather than climbing straight over them. On a black-and-white poster, this gives a composition with a solid centre and a delicate web of lines spreading out toward the edges.
A Báishí Zhèn map poster is for people who know the place from the inside, the walk along the main street or the road out of town toward the fields. It offers a view of home that no photograph from ground level can give, and it looks at ease on a wall in any city, however far from the Chongqing hills.
