Highland setting
The town sits among the rolling hills of southern Ethiopia, and roads bend to follow the slopes rather than running in straight lines.

Bako Map Poster & Print
Bako is a town in the South Ethiopia Regional State, set in the highland country of the south of the country. The landscape here is hilly and green, and from above the town appears as a modest cluster of streets following the terrain, with rural paths and scattered homesteads spreading into the surrounding farmland.
The name Bako is shared by more than one place in Ethiopia, including a better-known town in Oromia. This Bako lies much further south, in a region of small towns connected by winding roads across the hills.
A Bako map poster keeps the image simple: the main roads that enter and leave town, the short connecting streets at its centre and the fine lines of tracks and watercourses across the slopes. It is a quiet, honest portrait of a highland town from above.

Compact centre
The built-up area is small and concentrated, so the centre reads as a clear focal point surrounded by open countryside.
Rural tracks
Beyond the town, footpaths and farm tracks form a fine, irregular network that fills the edges of the poster with texture.
