Baturaja Map Poster & Print
Baturaja is the main town of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in South Sumatra, set in the interior of the province on the Ogan River. The river loops through the area in wide bends, and the town has grown along and between them. Its outline follows the water rather than a plan, with neighbourhoods spread along both banks and joined by bridges.
The railway linking Palembang with Lampung passes through the town. Baturaja is also known for its cement industry, which uses limestone from the surrounding hills. Around the town, the landscape mixes plantations, patches of forest and villages, and the ground rises gradually toward the Barisan Mountains to the west.
A Baturaja map poster traces a Sumatran town that follows its river. The loops of the Ogan give the composition a flowing, organic line, and the streets fit between them in a pattern quite unlike a grid. For people who grew up here, the result is precise and recognisable, a map that reads like a portrait of home.

Railway line
The tracks between Palembang and Lampung cross the area in a long, steady line, and the station forms a small hub within the town.
Roads to the interior
Roads leave town in several directions toward plantations and villages. These thin lines show Baturaja's role as the hub of its regency.

Waarom Baturaja
Een kaart met betekenis
Baturaja is home for families across Ogan Komering Ulu and for many who have moved to Palembang, Jakarta or beyond. A street map with the river at its centre is an honest, unfussy way to remember where they come from.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line to suit, perhaps with a family name or a date. Choose any of the five styles. Then order a printed matte poster or download the $9 HD files, with each size as a 300 DPI PNG and a PDF.
