Bida Map Poster
Bida lies on the open savanna plains of Niger State in central Nigeria, in a region of broad farmland, scattered woodland and seasonal streams. From above, the town shows a layout shared by many old northern Nigerian centres: a dense traditional core of compounds and winding lanes, with straighter roads and newer neighbourhoods laid out around it.
Bida is the seat of the Etsu Nupe, the traditional ruler of the Nupe people, and has long been one of the main centres of Nupe culture. The town is especially known for its crafts, above all its brass work and glass beads, produced by guilds of artisans whose skills have been passed down through families for generations.
A Bida map poster keeps its focus on the texture of the town itself. The irregular lanes of the older quarters contrast with the straighter roads of later growth, and the whole settlement fades gradually into farmland at its edges. It is a quiet, detailed portrait of a place that has been at the centre of Nupe life for a long time.

Main roads
Straighter trunk roads run through and around the centre, connecting Bida to Minna and other towns of Niger State and framing its newer districts.
Surrounding plains
Beyond the built-up area, open farmland and savanna stretch in every direction, leaving wide blank space around the town that makes its outline easy to read.
