Compact centre
The main streets come together around the town's core, where blocks are densest. On the poster this forms a clear focal point in the middle of the frame.

Boca da Mata Map Poster & Print
Boca da Mata is a municipality in the interior of Alagoas, in north-eastern Brazil, in the zona da mata belt between the coast and the drier sertão. The town is small and compact. From above, a handful of main streets meet near the centre, and blocks of low houses fill the gentle slopes around them before giving way to open fields.
The surrounding land has long been used for agriculture, and sugarcane has shaped this part of Alagoas for generations. On a map, that shows up as wide spaces with only the occasional rural road, so the town appears as a clear, dense cluster in open countryside, linked to neighbouring municipalities by a few regional routes.
A Boca da Mata map poster works well because of that contrast. The tight urban centre, the streets curving with the terrain and the thin lines heading out into the fields make a balanced composition. It is an honest portrait of a small Brazilian interior town, the kind of place people carry with them wherever they move.

Streets following terrain
Away from the centre, streets bend with the rolling ground instead of keeping to a strict grid, which gives the outer neighbourhoods a softer and more organic outline.
Rural road network
Beyond the last houses, a few regional and farm roads run into open agricultural land, leaving generous white space around the town in the Classic style.
