Village lanes
Small streets and footpaths form a dense, irregular network between houses. From above they create a fine texture that fills most of the map.

Buaran Map Poster & Print
Buaran lies in Central Java, on the flat coastal lowland near the Java Sea in the Pekalongan area. On the map, the settlement looks like a fine mesh of small streets and lanes, with houses close together along roads. Rice fields and fish ponds fill the gaps. Small rivers and irrigation channels run north toward the coast.
The Pekalongan area is known throughout Indonesia for batik, and many communities in the region have long worked in textile production. The landscape is typical of Java's north coast: densely populated, low-lying, crossed by water channels and shaped by agriculture on fertile plains.
A Buaran map poster shows this closely woven pattern, where the line between town and village is often hard to draw. The lanes form a detailed texture, and the channels and larger roads give the drawing direction.

Water channels
Small rivers and irrigation channels run across the lowland toward the Java Sea. They add long, slightly curving lines to the drawing.
Fields between settlements
Rice fields and ponds lie between the built-up areas. These open patches break up the dense lane network and give the map room to breathe.
