Caguas Map Poster & Print
Caguas lies in the Turabo Valley in east-central Puerto Rico, about 30 kilometres south of San Juan. It is one of the island's largest inland cities, and on the map it fills much of the valley floor. Its streets spread outward until the terrain rises into the green hills that enclose the valley, where the road network turns into narrow, winding lines.
At the centre is the traditional Spanish-style plaza, Plaza Palmer, with the cathedral and older streets arranged in a compact grid around it. Beyond that core, the city grows outward in a looser pattern of neighbourhoods, shopping centres and industrial parks. Expressway PR-52, the main route between San Juan and Ponce, passes the city and draws one of the clearest lines on the map.
Streams run through the valley toward the Río Grande de Loíza, whose reservoir lies to the north.
