Cajazeiras Map Poster & Print
Cajazeiras sits in the far west of Paraíba, close to the border with Ceará, in the dry interior known as the sertão. From above, the town is a dense cluster of short blocks surrounded by open scrubland and farm tracks. The streets run in loose grids that shift direction from one district to the next.
The clearest feature on the map is the Açude Grande, a reservoir right beside the centre. Its irregular shoreline gives the urban fabric a soft edge that you rarely see in inland towns. Around it, the older core packs tightly together, and newer neighbourhoods reach outward along the main roads toward the surrounding municipalities.
Cajazeiras is often called the town that taught Paraíba to read. The name comes from the school founded there in the nineteenth century by Padre Inácio de Sousa Rolim, which drew students from across the region. A Cajazeiras map poster records that educational town as a pattern of lines: water at the centre, streets around it, and open land beyond.

Sertão surroundings
Past the last blocks, the map thins out into scattered roads and field tracks across the dry interior. The dense core looks sharp against all that open space.
Shifting street grids
Neighbourhoods built in different periods follow their own orientation. The result is a patchwork of grids that meet at angles instead of forming one uniform plan.
