Colonia del Sol Map Poster & Print
Colonia del Sol is a residential area of Cabo San Lucas, in the municipality of Los Cabos at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula in Mexico. Rather than the marina and hotel zone most visitors see, it belongs to the part of the city where many residents live, spreading inland over dry, rising ground away from the waterfront.
On the map, the district appears as a dense pattern of blocks and streets filling the space between desert hills. Dry stream beds, known locally as arroyos, cut through the terrain and carry water only after storms, leaving winding bands where building stops. A short distance away lies the famous rock arch at Land's End, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Gulf of California.
A Colonia del Sol map poster shows a side of Cabo San Lucas that rarely appears in pictures of the resort: neighbourhood streets, the shape of the desert ground and the proximity of the sea. It is a fitting image for residents and for families who have made their home at the very end of the peninsula.

Desert arroyos
Dry stream beds wind through the area, leaving open curving corridors between built-up sections that give the composition natural movement and a sense of the terrain.
Near Land's End
The district lies not far from the tip of the peninsula, where the rock arch of Land's End marks the meeting of the Pacific and the Gulf of California.
