Deogarh Map Poster & Print
Deogarh, also written Debagarh, is the headquarters of the district of the same name in western Odisha. The town sits in rolling country with forested hills close by. On a map its streets form an irregular web around an older core, and the main roads lead out toward Sambalpur and the neighbouring districts.
Deogarh was the seat of the former princely state of Bamra, and the rulers' palace still stands in the town. Just outside, the Pradhanpat waterfall drops down a forested hillside and is a popular local spot. The hills around it stay green for much of the year, and they set the edges of the town.
